We ended up finding a rug, which I insisted we need for the living room, then insisted it must be placed as shown.

We also found spice jars with magnetic bottoms, which we determined could be essential to space-saving and free up some much needed kitchen counter space. We bought quite a few spice jars but didn't get the framed mounting for them because it was very expensive and too big for the space we wanted to use it in. So we tromped around town some more and finally found the perfect stove cover at the hardware store, for much cheaper, and the spice jars stuck! Last step was to get a silver Sharpie and write the spice names on the spice jar lids.

All in all it was a great weekend, we got a lot done. Although we never did find the perfect wine rack, which is what we were shopping for in the first place.

What a great idea with the spice jars! They look awesome!
Ditto what Nic said. I have been trying to find a way to get rid of my stupid spick rack, so I might be stealing this idea.
The spice jars were kind of expensive, but I think you could DIY pretty easily. I don't miss our stupid spice racks.
